Weekly Zazen Schedule

The Empty Sound Temple, hosts weekly zazen (meditation) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. There is no cost, but a dana contribution of $5 is suggested for non-members.

Weekly Sunday Program

The Empty Sound Temple has a regular Sunday program from 9:00 to 11:00 am. This program includes meditation, a service and a Teisho by Joshin Roshi. Everyone is welcome. There is no cost. Dana contributions are always gratefully accepted.

Dosho Port talks at Empty Sound Temple, Friday, January 23
Dosho Port will give a talk at Empty Sound Temple on Friday, January 23rd from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. He will speak on "Dainin's Four Essential Points". There is no cost but a dana contribution is great appreciated.

Dosho Mike Port is a Soto Zen priest and disciple of Dainin Katagiri Roshi. He began studying under Katagiri Roshi's guidance in 1977 and trained with him until his death in 1990. He received dharma transmission from him in 1989. He currently directs the Wild Fox Zen Temple. He is a half-time parent of two children and works at school for adolescents with severe behavior problems

He has just written and published a book on his teacher, called "Keep Me in Your Heart a While", which has just been released. He also writes a blog which you can read at http://wildfoxzen.blogspot.com/.
